SUMMARY:Sunday Worship
DESCRIPTION:Deuteronomy 30:15-20\n\n\n15  “Now listen! Today I am giving you a choice between life and\n\n\ndeath\, between prosperity and disaster. 16  For I command you this\n\n\nday to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands\,\n\n\ndecrees\, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this\,\n\n\nyou will live and multiply\, and the Lord your God will bless you\n\n\nand the land you are about to enter and occupy.\n\n\n17  “But if your heart turns away and you refuse to listen\, and if you\n\n\nare drawn away to serve and worship other gods\, 18  then I warn\n\n\nyou now that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live a\n\n\nlong\, good life in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy.\n\n\n19  “Today I have given you the choice between life and death\,\n\n\nbetween blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to\n\n\nwitness the choice you make. Oh\, that you would choose life\, so\n\n\nthat you and your descendants might live! 20  You can make this\n\n\nchoice by loving the Lord your God\, obeying him\, and committing\n\n\nyourself firmly to him. This [a] is the key to your life. And if you love\n\n\nand obey the Lord\, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to\n\n\ngive your ancestors Abraham\, Isaac\, and Jacob.”\n\n\n\n\n\nMatthew 25:14-23\n\n\n14  “Again\, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of\n\n\na man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and\n\n\nentrusted his money to them while he was gone. 15  He gave five\n\n\nbags of silver to one\, two bags of silver to another\, and one bag of\n\n\nsilver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then\n\n\nleft on his trip.\n\n\n16  “The servant who received the five bags of silver began to invest\n\n\nthe money and earned five more. 17  The servant with two bags of\n\n\nsilver also went to work and earned two more. 18  But the servant\n\n\nwho received the one bag of silver dug a hole in the ground and\n\n\nhid the master’s money.\n\n\n19  “After a long time their master returned from his trip and called\n\n\nthem to give an account of how they had used his money. 20  The\n\n\nservant to whom he had entrusted the five bags of silver came\n\n\nforward with five more and said\, ‘Master\, you gave me five bags\n\n\nof silver to invest\, and I have earned five more.’\n\n\n21  “The master was full of praise. ‘Well done\, my good and faithful\n\n\nservant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount\, so\n\n\nnow I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate\n\n\ntogether!’\n\n\n22  “The servant who had received the two bags of silver came\n\n\nforward and said\, ‘Master\, you gave me two bags of silver to\n\n\ninvest\, and I have earned two more.’\n\n\n23  “The master said\, ‘Well done\, my good and faithful servant. You\n\n\nhave been faithful in handling this small amount\, so now I will give\n\n\nyou many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’\n\n\n \n\n\nMatthew 25:24-30\n\n\n24  “Then the servant with the one bag of silver came and said\,\n\n\n‘Master\, I knew you were a harsh man\, harvesting crops you\n\n\ndidn’t plant and gathering crops you didn’t cultivate. 25  I was afraid\n\n\nI would lose your money\, so I hid it in the earth. Look\, here is your\n\n\nmoney back.’\n\n\n26  “But the master replied\, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! If you\n\n\nknew I harvested crops I didn’t plant and gathered crops I didn’t\n\n\ncultivate\, 27  why didn’t you deposit my money in the bank? At least\n\n\nI could have gotten some interest on it.’\n\n\n28  “Then he ordered\, ‘Take the money from this servant\, and give it\n\n\nto the one with the ten bags of silver. 29  To those who use well\n\n\nwhat they are given\, even more will be given\, and they will have\n\n\nan abundance. But from those who do nothing\, even what little\n\n\nthey have will be taken away. 30  Now throw this useless servant\n\n\ninto outer darkness\, where there will be weeping and gnashing of\n\n\nteeth.’\n\n\n \n\n\nColossians 3:16-17\n\n\n16  Let the message about Christ\, in all its richness\, fill your lives.\n\n\nTeach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing\n\n\npsalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful\n\n\nhearts. 17  And whatever you do or say\, do it as a representative of\n\n\nthe Lord Jesus\, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
